Our martial arts lessons are held at the Christ Church C of E primary school which is in the popular town of Ellesmere Port in Cheshire. 

The primary school is based in the Whitby area of Ellesmere Port, and all classes are held in the evenings, specifically on Monday, Tuesday and Friday, with kid’s lessons starting at 6pm and youth/adult lessons at 7pm.

Shito-ryu karate is the martial art we practice at Snw karate. It focuses on a close-combat style of self-defence which is more realistic for the ‘real world’, possibly more so than other, more popular, styles of karate. 

It combines take-downs and throws with effective kicking, punching, blocking, and one of the main benefits of our martial arts lessons is the improvement in pupils’ self-confidence. 

In addition, students will improve their physical fitness, strength, flexibility and self-discipline.

The ethos of our style of self-defence is one of discipline, respect for others and self-respect, and that ethos is reflected in our teaching style, and some of its traditional elements. 

However, we also combine this with having as much fun as possible, and we understand that particularly for young children, the best way of learning is through having fun.

All of our instructors can train you and your family from beginner level through to black belt and they are all experienced in working with all age groups. 

From young children, through to adolescents and adults.
