Karate Style History - Genzo Iwata

In 1980 Genzo Sensei demonstrated Shito-ryu kata Bassai-Dai and Seienchin in a video produced by the Federation of All Japan Karate-Do Organisations (F.A.J.I.K.O). In 1982 Genzo Sensei received his 5th Dan in Shito-ryu Karate-Do and in 1988 his Shihan (Master teacher) licence from All Japan Karate-do Federation.

In April 1997, Genzo Iwata Sensei was appointed Honbu Dojo Chief Instructor by the World Shitoryu Karate-Do Federation (WSKF) and instructs students from all over the world on the Shito-ryu Karate-do as taught him by his father Master Manzo Iwata and Kenwa Mabuni before him.
